Cannabis seeds can last for a few years when stored in the correct way. When storing the seeds for longer periods of time there are a number of factors to consider. It is recommended to store the seeds in a cool dark place with a minimum variation in both temperature and light exposure. These 2 factors as well as an increase in humidity can either trigger the seeds into starting the germination process early or leave them too affected to even sprout.
Freezing the seeds is possible but not recommended.
Whilst there are many reports of successful germination from frozen seeds that were over 8 to 10 years old, if you decide to preserve your seeds in this way, you must make sure that the seeds are completely vacuum sealed in order to avoid any moisture build up. We do not recommend keeping the seeds for more than 2 years. Although they should be fine with some seeds capable of surviving many times longer (particularly when frozen), we feel that too many external factors have the potential to affect the seeds beyond that period. We only guarantee the viability of our seeds for 1 year from the date of purchase and are unable to offer refunds or replacements beyond that point.
